New Catfishing Radio App For iPhone and Android

I am pleased to announce the release of the Catfishing Radio apps for iPhone and Android. The Catfishing Radio app provides an app where you can listen to the show from the App and some other cool features like direct links to the Catfishing Radio hotline, our Twitter and Facebook pages, direct link to the website and more. It also gives you the ability to save your “favorite” shows and share them as well through email, twitter, facebook and other social networks directly from you iPhone or Android Device.

I am just getting oriented to everything that can be done through the app but it gives me the ability to share some exclusive content through the Catfishing Radio app that is not available on the main website (like bonus audio, bonus pictures, bonus PDF files and some other features as well. I am not sure if (or even how) I would go about doing this but it is something I may look at further in the future.

Of course you can always continue to listen on your computer or through your iPhone without the app, it is certainly not required. It’s just something that my new podcasting host provided as a bonus if people prefer to listen and interact this way so I figured, “what the heck” let’s roll with it and see what happens and what I can do with this in the future (like I need something else to focus on).

Both apps are $1.99, I wanted to give them away but the developer requires a minimum price of $1.99 to offset their cost of creating and maintaining the app. When all is said and done I think I might get a few pennies from that.

The Android App is a direct download from the Android Marketplace.

The iPhone App requires you to download the free podcast box app and then you purchase the Catfishing Radio app within the free podcast box app!  Just download the free podcast box app and then do a search for Catfishing Radio within the app.

New Catfishing Radio Logo

In addition to the App, we also have a new show logo (shown above)! I wanted to get something out there that more accurately reflected the logo of the Learn To Catch Catfish website as well as a good image to use in the future for some T-shirts and other gear we are going to put together for everyone.

No Show This Week

There was no show this week because of an issue with our podcasting host. Catfishing Radio has grown too big too quick and they told us we had to take a hike, we were “using too many resources”. Basically what that means is we had to change servers and move all the files and everything somewhere else that was better suited for handling podcasts and also providing faster download speeds. You won’t notice any changes other than the fact that there was no show this week and the show should download faster when you go to do that for each new episode.

There will be a new show up Monday and the following weeks episode is done also and ready for release, it’s a great interview that I am confident your going to enjoy.
