Using the same bait (Monster Punch Bait), the same line, the same hooks and same rods and reels we where catching on average 4 to 1 on the secret catfish rig over the other slip corks we have been using. It works very well, I’m going to have to retire the slip corks for a while. We made a variation to use for crappie fishing also. We miss a lot of bites with foam corks but did not lose 1 minnow crappie fishing with the secret catfish rig. Who would have thought it, a (edited). If any suspect rod tip eye damage. Take a cotton Q-tip and rub the end on the inside of the eye. If the cotton finds any roughness/snags it will pull free of the Q-tip.
