The Learn To Catch Catfish Catfishing Week In Review 4/4/10 – Happy Easter To Everyone
It’s been a busy week here and there has been a lot going on. Spring has sprung and despite the high winds that we have had that have made it difficult for fishing much of the week the blue catfish are on the move here and the best fishing of the year for numbers of blues is right around the corner. I suspect that the normal spring schedule will be thrown off a little this year compared to previous years because of the exceptionally cold Winter we had, and all of the rains. The water is still pretty cool but the bite is going to be in full swing in no time. I am really looking forward to being on the water catching shallow water blues.
I did several interviews this week and there will be a number of articles printing in the next couple of months so be on the lookout. The first that I think will run will be with Lone Star Outdoor News on Spring Catfishing at Lake Lewisville, so make sure you stay on the look out for this. I will try to post a link or reprint when it runs but I have tendency to forget about these things sometimes.
We gave away the free Berkley Reflex fishing rod this week and have made a few posts about the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 Digital Camera that we will be doing a product review on. I am almost finished with the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 Product Review and will be posting it soon and then we will be posting the free contest to be eligible to win the camera. I am not 100% certain how we are going to give this camera away right now, as I am still discussing it with the folks at Fujifilm but I think we are going to run an “interesting” photo contest and pick a winner of the free digital camera based on that. In addition I also have some Bobber With A Brain fishing bobbers as well and am about to wrap up the product review of the Bobber With A Brain and will be working to figure out a way to give away these fishing bobbers also.
In addition to all this I have MORE FREE LOOT to give away as prizes to the readers. The fine folks at Digger Anchors sent me a box of Digger Anchors to do a product review on and give away to some lucky readers. I have been using these for quite some time and think you would be hard pressed to find a better anchor on the market. I am going to shoot some photos and videos in the coming months and will be doing a free prize drawing for some lucky folks to win these.
